ENGLISH WAS NEVER MY STRONG SUBJECT AT SCHOOL AND YET, HERE WE ARE...
By far, the biggest perk of being a photographer in the Bush has been the opportunity to meet new people who are passionate about what it is they do - and they do it so well!
I've had the absolutely pleasure of showcasing both people I know and people I don't. It's so fulfilling to spend a day learning their stories and being curious around what drives them in their craft. If I am able to capture their enthusiasm and individuality through both my lens and the written word, it brings me such a feeling of inspiration and joy.
I am not in anyway, shape or form a writer, professional or otherwise. Alas, an unexpected byproduct of this photography venture of mine has been my newfound appreciation of creating the written word to express my subject's unique story. Although not all projects I've worked on have required me to do so, the few that have, have encouraged me to try my best at it. It's something I hope to continue to develop in the future.
Below, you will find a small collection of articles I've been lucky enough to contribute to either with photography, writing - or both.
